Right now the Black Wii isn't available in the United States, the Question that I have is when plugging the Wii in would the plug work in the United States? Or is it the other type of plug? Any help would be great! i had to rate it to get this question out, not sure how to go about getting this question answered any other way.

I had been thinking about getting the Wii for some time but was concerned it would spoil my high tech living room. The black version however looks fantastic and, without the stand in use, lays discretely on my TV unit. It's surprisingly small and, though I am loathed to admit it, looks cool. It also plays great too. I have a PS3 and for visually engaging games that can't be beaten (unless you're an X-Box convert). The Wii however provides an all-together different experience. I have targeted the sports and activity games. Everyone wants to play the Wii from my grand daughter to my wife (not the most dedicated gamer). I am avoiding buying any "serious" titles for the Wii, like Assassin's Creed II, Avatar and F1 2009, say. The Wii was built for Mario Kart, Sports Resort and Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. It's a lot cheaper than installing a bowling ally, tennis court or boxing ring I can assure you. I recommend getting a composite video lead for the Wii if your TV supports it to optimise the relatively simple visuals. In summary, when we want to have fun or want to involve everyone in the action it's the Wii we choose.

This wii looks great close to my black tv set. The low graphics that everybody complains are good enough fo this type of gameplay. Amazon shipped it over sea to Romania. This is my first purchase from amazon.co.uk bu it will no be my last. The packet arrived in preatty bad conditions.. But the console and the extra wii remote and numchuck were safe. The problem was with the Personal Trainer game that I bougth with it. The box of the game was distroyed bu everything seemed to be in place. I don't know who's folt his is DHL or my local postal office. The pachage should have arrived on 8'th of december but arrived on 4'th. Thank you amazon for the fast service.

I first bought a wii when they first came out and while I initially enjoyed it I soon got fed up with it and went back to the 360. Lack of decent games and the controls weren't up to the standard I expected from the hype.
So some time on i am glad to say I have finally bought another, I went for the black one because black looks sexier and matches my TV and ps3 and 360 elite.
The motion plus improves the controls a fair degree and the much improved range of software makes a big difference. Our current fave is new mario brothers, four player take on a classic game is great, the young children can join in and do not feel too punished at their lack of skill as other can help them out.
