I bought this for myself and love it to bits. My husband uses it too and we have bought some more games and hopefully can get our children aged 42 and 35 to show us over Christmas how to play them.

The nintendo ds lite is good but as yet I only have the brain training and Mahjong games. The brain training is very repetitive and all that slows one down is the accidental touches on the screen and the fact it sometimes does not recognise the letters one writes. eg the difference between i and l or H and k. Also I have yet to get it to understand my speech and thus now always have to tell it I cannot speak. The mahjong game is OK once one gets used to the small screen and for my purpose I am satisfied. I am waiting for Father Christmas to come and hope he brings me a new game to try

I purchased this item on behalf of my Gran so she could give it to my Grandad for christmas. my grandad found it thinking it was for one of the grankids and thought he should 'test it' first. He has subsequently become hooked and my Gran has ended up giving it to him early as he cant put it down. Thanks for keeping his mind sharp and his brain active.

I really like it, but only 2 games so far I am glad I purchased - the Professor Layton one, which I loved, and the scrabble. I find the Brain train disappointing and other items rather childish.

You can use this handy device how you like it - for games or for educational purposes or both. We bought this mainly for the brain training 'game' which is living up to its name for all the family.
